Slide Context Menu

The slide context menu gives you quick access to common slide operations without leaving the sidebar. It provides clipboard actions, duplication, deletion, and access to slide properties.

Opening the Context Menu

Right-click on any slide thumbnail in the slide sidebar to open the context menu.

Menu Actions

The context menu contains the following actions, listed from top to bottom:

Edit Slide Properties

Opens the slide properties panel where you can rename the slide and adjust slide-level settings. This is the same as clicking the edit (pencil) icon on the slide thumbnail.

Markers on Slide (Informational)

This row displays the markers present on the slide. If the slide has no markers, it shows “No markers on slide” in a grayed-out, non-clickable state. When markers exist, this area provides a summary of the slide’s content.

Info

This item is informational only and is not an action you can click. It helps you quickly identify which slides have content and which are still empty.

Duplicate

Shortcut: Ctrl+D

Creates an exact copy of the slide, including all of its markers and their configurations. The duplicated slide appears directly below the original in the slide sidebar. This is useful for creating variations of an existing slide without starting from scratch.

Copy

Shortcut: Ctrl+C

Copies the slide to the clipboard. The copied slide can then be pasted into the same presentation or used as a reference. Copy does not remove the original slide.

Cut

Shortcut: Ctrl+X

Cuts the slide — copying it to the clipboard and marking it for removal. When you paste, the slide is moved to the new position. If you do not paste, the cut slide remains in place.

Paste

Shortcut: Ctrl+V

Pastes a previously copied or cut slide. The pasted slide is inserted into the presentation at the current position. This option is only active when a slide has been copied or cut to the clipboard.

Tip

You can use Copy and Paste together to quickly duplicate slides. This works the same as Duplicate but gives you more control over where the new slide is placed.

Delete

Shortcut: Del

Removes the slide from the presentation. A confirmation dialog will appear before the slide is permanently deleted. Deleting a slide also removes all markers and behaviors associated with it.

Warning

You cannot delete the last remaining slide in a presentation. Every presentation must have at least one slide. If you need to start fresh, create a new slide first, then delete the old one.
